Accessibility

Lazyleaf's commitment to digital accessibility in everything we build.

Accessibility is not optional.

Every system we build should be usable by everyone, regardless of ability. Accessibility is a design requirement from the start of every project, not a compliance checkbox applied at the end.

Our standards

We design and build to WCAG 2.1 AA standards as a minimum. Where client requirements or user needs demand it, we target AAA compliance.

  • Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility
  • Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios across all interfaces
  • Alternative text for all meaningful images and media
  • Focus management and visible focus indicators
  • Responsive design that works across devices and zoom levels

Testing and validation

Accessibility is tested throughout development, not just at the end.

  • Automated accessibility testing in CI/CD pipelines
  • Manual testing with screen readers and assistive technologies
  • Keyboard-only navigation testing for all user flows
  • Colour contrast validation for all design decisions
  • Regular accessibility audits of deployed systems

Continuous improvement

Accessibility standards evolve, and so do our practices. We stay current with WCAG updates, assistive technology developments, and best practices in inclusive design. We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our own website and client systems.
